This dates prior to Pamela Anderson in Baywatch. In 1994, the truly wonderful Wonderbra made its debut in the US and soon became a fashion accessory. So much so, that the rate at which it retailed was astounding, i.e. every 15 minutes, 1 Wonderbra was sold, which made it America’s best selling push-up bra.
Now, nearly after a decade, the lingerie brand is here in India, to help enhance the sexiness and appeal of the Indian women by providing well constructed and well created support to them. In collaboration with Zivame.com, which is the largest online retailer of intimates and lingerie in the country, Wonderbra will be available in 16 styles online and is priced between Rs. 845 to Rs. 1, 595.
The options available are wide and varied, ranging from the much talked about push up bra to lacy feminine versions and other practical designs, such as the 5 way changeable bra and the must have sports bra. Shekhar Tiwari of HanesBrands Apparel India, which is the parent company states, “While we will start rolling the launch of WonderBra in brick and mortar retail later this year, the online opportunity gave us the platform to launch the brand with a pan India footprint from day one.”
Now the question is, will the Indian Women beat the Americans when it comes to style and comfort of their inner wear?
