Top 10 Lassi Recipes for the Summers

As we have brought something more refreshing and healthy for you, from the roots of Punjab … The “Desi Drink”, Lassi! It is not only about sweet and salty taste, but also about other flavours.

1. Sweet Plain Lassi

Ingredients

  • 11/2 Tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup curd
  • Ice cubes

Method

  • Blend all the ingredients together in a blender, till the froth forms.
  • Serve chilled.

2. Salted plain Lassi

Ingredients

  • ½ cup thick dahi (curd)
  • ½ tsp cumin (ground)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Ice cubes

Method

Blend all the ingredients together, in a blender till the froth forms.

3. Masala Lassi

Ingredients

  • 3 cups daahi (curd)
  • 1 green chilli (seeded and chopped)
  • Ice cues
  • ½ tsp cumin powder (ground)
  • Salt
  • 1cup water (chilled)
  • Pepper powder
  • Mint leaves

Method

  • Take dahi and water in a blender and churn it for a minute.
  • Mix chilli, pepper, salt and cumin, and blend.
  • Add crushed ice.
  • Garnish with cumin powder and chopped mint.

4. Mint Lassi

Ingredients

  • ½ cup thick dahi (curd)
  • Fresh mint
  • ½ cup cold water

Method

  • Blend all the ingredients together in a blender.
  • Serve chilled.

5. Mango Lassi

Ingredients

  • I cup dahi (curd)
  • ½ cup mango (pulp)
  • 3tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup ice (crushed)

Method

  • Blend all the ingredients together.
  • Add water if required.
  • Serve chilled.
  • Garnish with mint leaves.

6. Strawberry Lassi

Ingredients

  • 3 cups strawberry (halved)
  • ¼ tsp cardamom (ground)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 cups dahi (curd)

Method

  • Puree the strawberries along with sugar, salt, and cardamom.
  • Add dahi and ice.
  • Puree gain till it is smooth.

7. Banana Lassi

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • Half cup crushed ice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1tsp ground cardamom
  • 2 cups curd

Method

  • Blend all the ingredients together.
  • Serve chilled with a banana slice.

8. Rose Lassi

  • 2 cups curd
  • Salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Cardamom powder
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp rose syrup
  • 10 drops vanilla essence
  • Ice cubes

Method

  • Take all the ingredients and blend.
  • Blend till the froth forms.
  • You can also use pineapple instead of rose.
  • Add chopped fruits in the lassi.

9. Mix fruit Lassi

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped fruits (as per your taste)
  • Cardamom (ground)
  • Salt
  • 2 cups curd
  • 1 cup ice (cubes)
  • ½ cup sugar

Method

  • Puree fruits along with sugar, salt, and cardamom.
  • Mix curd and ice.
  • Blend again till smooth.

10. Kesar Lassi

Ingredients

  • 2 cups thick Curd
  • ¼ tsp Kesar
  • 3 tsp Sugar
  • Cardamom
  • 1 tbsp Hot water

Method

  • Mix Kesar and water in hot water, and keep them aside.
  • Blend the Kesar with all the ingredients and blend.
  • Serve chilled.
