We got to see Rohit Sheety style last in Bol Bachchan and honestly, we were greatly disappointed by his Bol Bachchan as it failed to do well in making people laugh, and also did poor performance in terms of collections. Rohit is an extremely versatile director, and over the years, he has developed his own style of direction, popularly known as ‘Rohit Shetty Style’. After directing successful flicks like Golmaal, Golmaal 2 & 3, he is coming up with another tickling comedy – Chennai Express on Friday, 9th August, 2013.
Let’s peep into quick facts of the film:

Plot of Chennai Express:
It is an out and out commercial film with a quintessential romantic touch in it. It is a story of 40 years old Rahul (Shahrukh Khan), who is still a bachelor because of his grandfather who is overly insecure about him, and can’t let him live with anyone else. And one day, while Rahul is on his voyage to Rameshwaram, comes across so many experiences and thrills that make him realize the true importance of love, relationships, and sacrifice in one’s life.
It is a hilarious movie that will teach you also the importance of love and relationships in life, in a pure Rohit Shetty style.
Music is composed by none other than duo Vishal and Shekhar. Hilarious and romantic lyrics are stamped by Amitabh Bhattacharya who has also worked on movies like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Heroine and many more. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam is making his comeback into Bollywood after 15 years, with the title track of the film. The popular and youth icon Yo Yo Honey Singh has also sung a song ‘Lungi’ in the movie, that is featured on You tube and is getting huge hits. Overall, the music, lyrics and composition of the flick is receiving good response all over India.
Shahrukh Khan is playing the lead role in the movie. He is playing the character of Rahul, who is a bachelor even at the age of 40. While talking about the lead actresses, there were quite a few names that were speculated like that of Deepika Padukone, Assin, Kareena Kapoor, but finally, it was Deepika who made the cut. Sathyaraj was signed to play as Deepika’s father in the movie, who is playing as the main antagonist in the movie. Priyamini, a southern actress is doing an item number in the film.
On the whole, we are expecting a plethora of laughter and fun, with a poignant touch from Chennai Express. It is considered to be a strong movie with strong direction and big star cast, and above all producers have invested a whopping 900 million rupees on it.
Let’s see, whether Chennai Express proves to be a superfast train or a slow passenger.
