Review: The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

We all want to pamper our skins and make them flawless, and we are ready to do each and every effort to make that happen. We fix appointments for spa, skin exfoliation sessions with dermatologist and what not. Thought these are all effective treatments, but we have to spend a whopping amount of money per sitting.

But what if we get a product at our home that can exfoliate our facial skin equally well, and also you don’t have to splurge a lot on buying that product. Yes, I have a similar product in my kitty and I am going to share my views on it, while reviewing the product. The product is none other than The Body Shop’s Vitamin C Microdermabrasion.

What does company claim about the product?

Fine exfoliating micro particles and crushed garnet stones remove dead skin cells to reveal a brighter, more radiant complexion.

  • Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth
  • Gives skin a brighter, more radiant look
  • Improves skin texture and tone

My Verdict of the Product

Dermabrasions are basically meant to exfoliate your skin, making way for a new, healthy and glowing skin. But, the new skin that comes after dermabrasion is extremely sensitive and susceptible to sun damage; hence, you have to take a lot of precautions while moving out in the sun.

Before using this product, you need to first cleanse your face with a cleanser. You can wash your face with The Body Shop Vitamin C cleansing polish as well, which will boost up the overall result. After cleansing, just take out a small quantity of the product, a1nd apply it on face massaging in circular directions. Scrub it for 203 minutes, but I request you all not to scrub it harshly, else it can cause rashes on your face. After scrubbing for 3 minutes, leave on the product on your face for a minute and rinse thoroughly.

Now, here comes the result of the product. Your face looks visibly radiant, and it glows. Your skin tone becomes even and bright as the product contains camu camu that is known to contain the highest quantities of Vitamin C in nature. Besides that, it improves the overall texture of your skin, making it utterly soft and supple. To be honest, it actually exfoliates.

Let’s look at the pros and cons of the product:

  • Brightens your face, whilst giving an even tone to your entire face.
  • Lives up to its claim of exfoliation.
  • Skin becomes soft and supple post usage.
  • Best as a home exfoliation treatment, without any hassles.
  • Little quantity is required and used only once or twice a week. Hence has a longer shelf life.

To be very honest, I cannot look for any cons in the product, as it does everything that it claims for. Price might be a factor for few, but it has a longer shelf life, so it should not bother you.
