A juicy orange pout! Anyone?
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Lipstick is my favorite part of makeup. It’s something, you can put on at any hour of the day, and I just love how it perks up the whole look.
So, today am gonna review Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Orange. As you all know “Orange is the new Black”. I think the world is obsessing with orange and for good. It’s such a perky color that it uplifts your spirit, immediately. And, a juicy orange pout is definitely on the cards for me!
This Colorbar Velvet Matte range has got some really good colors. Next time, when you go out for shopping, do check out this range.
Price: Rs. 250
My Experience with Colorbar Velvet Matte
It comes in a steel case, with a transparent cap. It’s quite handy, and the casing is solid.
As the name suggests, it’s matte, but, not as velvety as you might expect. I prefer running a lip balm on my lips, before using it, coz it’s kinda dry. But, I think that’s just the problem with the obsessed orange shade, coz I’ve used other shades of Velvet Matte, and they aren’t that dry.
Am in love with the color. It’s a very tangy orange. One swipe would give you a subtle orange, and you can double it to get a bold one. I might be a little biased for I just love orange lips. You gotta try this for sure!
It gives you an average finish. As I said, it’s a bit dry, so, you might want to line your lips with a brush first and then fill in. If you have dry chapped lips, it might settle into the creases and that looks gross.
Let’s just say that is not the best part of this lipstick. It’d stay for maximum 3 to 5 hours, but then, you can always excuse yourself to the ladies room for a re-application.
What I Like About It
- Vibrant color
- Matte finish
What I Don’t Like About It
- Average finish
- Lack of staying power
- Dry texture
Absolutely! The colors, you get in this swatch, are just lovely, and Rs. 250 is just not expensive for a Colorbar Lipstick. Apart from that, you won’t get similar colors in this price range with other brands.
Am I Gonna Repurchase It?
Well yeah! Am obsessed!
Glide a transparent lip balm before applying this lipstick for a smoother finish.
