The plain, transparent and almost zero attention grabbing vases at your places are in for a makeover. It doesn’t make sense to spend a lot of money on pretty decorative vases when you can make a few on your own. It’s an easy holiday craft, something that will cheer up your racks or enlighten a friends place.
Follow these easy steps:
Take simple, clear vases. Since creating them will require a bit of your time, pick 3 to 5 of them. Do not increase their number.
Pick craft paint. We’ve chosen two parts of gold and one part champagne color.
In order to create the dots, take a paint brush and dip its wooden end in the paint. Now dot the vase. If the paint is more on the end, it will create a larger dot and vice versa.
We first started out with the darkest color, added the slightly lighter shade in the middle, and on top of it, added the lightest coat.
Now place it in a cool oven, preheat it to 350 degrees and bake for about 30 minutes. Now turn off the oven and let it cool totally while the vases are in.
Place them on your mantel and see how absolutely gorgeous they look! Lovestruck!
