Do you wish to prepare something sweet for your children? Try making kheer made of poha.It is a great recipe to make your kids happy and also to meet their calcium requirement. It is so yummy and delicious that your children can never say ‘NO’ to it.
Here’s the recipe of divine poha kheer –
- Poha, ¼ cup
- Finely chopped 1 apple.
- Sugar, 5 tbsp
- 1 tbsp Raisins fried in ghee.
- 1 tbsp cashew nuts fried in ghee.
- Cardamom, 2 pods
- Milk, depending on the consistency you desire.
- Ghee , 1 tbsp
Method of Preparation:
- Take ghee in a saucepan to fry the poha. Fry poha until it begins to turn little brownish.
2.As poha gets fried, add about three cups of milk to it and stir continuously.
3.After the 4-to-5 minutes of cooking until the poha gets half-cooked, add the apple.
4.When apple turns soft, add sugar and cardamoms. Simmer the mixture for about 5 mins or until desirable consistency you achieve.
5.When the poha kheer gets ready, garnish it with cashew nuts and raisins.
