Step 2- Now add cocoa butter and coconut oil in the jar.

Step 3- Fill a large saucepan with 1-1.5 inches of water and let it boil. Once started boiling, keep the glass jar in the centre of the saucepan, so that, it melts and mixes up.

Step 4- Stir it well for 10-15 minutes to melt and combine the ingredients. You can use a Popsicle stick to blend it easily.

Step 5- Mix well, until it melts completely.

Step 6- Once all the ingredients are melted; remove the pan and the jar away from the heat in order to let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Then, add any essential oil of your choice to it.

Step 7- After adding the essential oil, keep the jar in a cool place or a refrigerator, until it sets.

Step 8- Take it out from the refrigerator after it gets chilled.

Step 9- Start stirring it slowly with a hand mixer and gradually, turn the speed faster.

Step 10- Keep mixing it for 3-5 minutes, until the mixture becomes fluffy and reaches a butter-like consistency.

Step 11- Body butter is ready to use. You need to keep it in a glass container, at a cool place.

  • The body butter should be kept at a cool place. You can, anytime, whip it back to regain its fluffiness or consistency.
  • If you are going in direct sunlight after applying it, we don’t recommend you to use citrus essential oils due to its photosensitive nature. Instead, you can add a few drops of lavender oil while preparing the body butter.
