It’s true! Sweat is usually related to hard work. But, not always! Some people remain vexed with excessive sweating throughout the year. This disorder is known as Hyperhidrosis. If you often avoid participating in social gatherings, just because you are scared that your friends will be abhorred by your sweaty body, you should try the home remedies to curb this problem.
Here are some general home remedies that you can use for reducing excessive sweating under your arms, on your face, and in your feet and hands.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix 1 tsp. of vinegar in a glass of water. To it, add 1 tsp. of honey. Drink this tonic ½ an hour before or 1½ hours after a meal. Alternatively, rub it in underarms and on your palm, feet, and face.
2. Tomato Juice
Squeeze the juice of fresh tomatoes and drink it. Continue it for at least one week. This home remedy will really help you.
3. Lemon Juice
Apply lemon juice on your palms, face, feet, and underarms, just after taking a shower. It will reduce the sweating and also eliminate the odour.
Cut a potato into small slices. Rub on the affected area. Allow the area to dry. Then, sprinkle talcum powder.
5. Talcum Powder
Apply talcum powder on the sweaty area, 2-3 times a day. It will absorb excessive sweat and keep your body dry.
6. Wheat Grass Juice
Drink a glass of wheat grass juice daily. It’s an effectual home remedy for trimming down the excessive sweating.
7. Sage (Kamarkas) Tea
Put sage to hot water. Boil it for 5-7 minutes. Cool it. Drink it each day, for eliminating the unnecessary sweating.
8. Tea Tree Oil
Directly apply the tea tree oil to the sweaty areas. It will certainly help you in getting rid of extreme sweating.
Home Remedies for Reducing Excessive Underarm Sweating:
Cornstarch acts as a natural deodorant. Apply it and enjoy your day.
Mix equal quantity of cornstarch and baking soda. Wash your underarms thoroughly, and apply this mixture. Keep it for about ½ an hour. Wash off with water.
Home Remedies for Reducing Excessive Sweating on Face:
Take one cucumber. Extract its juice. Cool it in the refrigerator (you can store this juice for 3-4 days). Apply it on your face, two times a day. Keep it till it gets dried. Rinse off with normal water.
Wrap 3-4 ice cubes in a muslin cloth. Put it on your face, twice or thrice a day. It will treat excessive sweating on your face.
Splatter ice-cold water on your face. It’s one of the effective home remedies to curb excessive sweating.
Green Moong Dal
Roast and grind the green Moong dal. Add raw milk to a tsp. of dal powder. Apply it on your face and allow it to semi-dry. Rinse with normal water. For best results, repeat this remedy continuously for 15 days.
Home Remedies for Reducing Sweating on Palms and Feet:
Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
Soak a little amount of ajwain in the sesame oil. Leave it overnight. Eat in the morning.
Add 5 tea bags in one litre of water. Boil it. Cool it. Soak your palms and feet in it, for ½ an hour. It will provide you relief from excessive sweating.
Apply rubbing alcohol on your palms and feet. Do this 1-2 times a week.
Note: Excessive use of rubbing alcohol may irritate and dry your skin.
