Green Theplas

A blend of green vegetables with the goodness of tofu.

Ingredients

Topping

  • Salt to taste
  • 3/4 cup capsicum (chopped) (green red and yellow)
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup  low-fat paneer (crumbled)
  • 1 tsp oil

Others

  • Salt to taste
  • Jowar (white millet) flour
  • Sugar
  • A few drops lemon juice
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup soya flour
  • 1/4 cup ragi flour
  • 1/4 cup jowar flour
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp ginger-green chilli paste
  • 1 cup oats flour
  • 1 cup chopped spinach (chopped)

Method

For topping

  • In pan heat oil, add onions and stir fry them till translucent.
  • Combine capsicum and stir for two minutes.
  • Mix coriander, salt and paneer and sauté for a minute.
  • Remove from the flame.
  • Allow the mixture to cool.

Others

  • Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them.
  • Make dough by adding some water.
  • Make equal balls out of the dough.
  • Make circular shaped rotis using jowar flour for rolling the rotis.
  • Heat a non stick pan.
  • Add oil to it and place the circular shaped roti over the pan.
  • Cook from both the sides till golden brown.
  • Now lay the topping over the rotis evenly.
  • Serve hot.
