Does god exist? We’re sure you’ve often pondered over the question. At times, believing in his existence just like you would your own and at times, denying him vehemently, labeling him a myth, a mirage and an illusion. So what is it that makes us think and re-think about Him? Why is He so unattainable, yet so reassuring, so far off, yet so miraculous. If we term him as the “creator”, the “master’ and the “maker”, why are so many people around the world in suffering, in pain and in misery. Why does He not redeem His own children, His own creation of every trouble and despair? Who likes seeing their own children in agony? When will He come to their rescue and release the world of every crime? These questions are many and there’s no one to answer. God has not sent anyone straight from heaven, to solve all the mysteries and satisfy our inquisitive mind. He let His people evolve, think on their own and come up with their own answers to life, God and truth. It would be shallow to completely deny the presence of that one power, for the universe, man, thousands of creatures, the sun, water and life have not been created in a fluke. It’s no accident that such a work of genius takes place every day without fail and with no change.
In a broader sense, God is defined as someone who’s ultimate, supreme and absolute. He epitomizes perfection in every possible way, is flawless and yet undefined. He’s omnipotent, omnipresent and ever benevolent. His ways are all powerful, he’s unstoppable and therefore, every now and then, we term the workings of God as “his ways” and that which we humans have no control over. Believers believe and the non believers seek ‘evidence’ to prove to them that what it is that makes people accept the reality of Him. “You just have to believe” is a far cry from rationalism and does nothing to make one believe in His presence.
The complexity of this question is so enormous that very often; lives are consumed with finding the answer to this matter. The reply wouldn’t dawn on you in one night or week or year of searching. It’s too vast and too complicated to be accepted as an absolute truth or an outright lie. Keep figuring, keep the faith and you never know, when God shows up at your door.
