Daily Skin Care Routine for Oily Skin

Everybody dreams of having that perfect skin but sadly, very few have it. Moreover, oily skin type makes skin maintenance even more difficult. It is shiny, feels wet, has noticeably large pores, and is prone to blemishes. Ouch! Too much already? Don’t fret, because Feminiya will help you fight all these skin troubles like it’s a cakewalk. Read along if your oily skin bothers you much, because here’s the dream skincare routine for people with oily skin tone.

1. Do not Touch your Face

It might make you wonder as to why are we even mentioning this point, but believe us, you have no idea how many times we touch our face without even realizing it. This simple (and thoughtless) act then transfers countless harmful bacteria, from the hands to the face. Dirt gets trapped in the pores resulting in things you’d definitely not want (acne, blemishes, etc.). If you have the urge to wipe away oil from your face, keep oil-absorbent tissues or just a soft face towel with yourself. This small step will go a long way in improving your skin’s texture.

2.  Cleanser

Be extra careful while choosing a cleanser for oily skin. Thoroughly read the ingredients and opt for a cleanser that contains minimum amount of oil. There are some cleansers made specifically for oily skin. Remember to cleanse your face twice a day, so that your pores do not get clogged due to excess oil.

3.  Astringent or Toner

For those with an oily skin, an astringent or toner is a must. It removes the remaining oil and dirt which might have been left behind by the cleanser. It also closes the pores and tightens the skin. Pat dry your face, before you apply the toner. You can also use it during the day to get rid of the excessive oil (it is not important to always cleanse your face before using it).

4. Moisturizer

Don’t be surprised to know that even oily skins need moisturizers, because they do. Pick oil free and water based moisturizers, as they do not make your face look greasy, get absorbed easily, and are light. Dry your face, before you dab on the lotion.

5. Exfoliator

It is very important to get rid of dead skin cells before you achieve that healthy glow. For this, use a scrub with tiny granules, as large grains can damage your skin. Exfoliation removes the oily appearance and brings forth soft, supple skin. Do not exfoliate if you are facing an acne breakout. Scrub your face for 5 minutes and rinse off with cold water. Use it once or twice a week, for best results.

Though oily skin requires more care, it does not mean that it cannot be beautiful. All that you have to do is- take a bit of care. Do not wash your face with hot/warm water. Cold or room temperature water is best for wonderful results.

Have a happy glowing skin !
