Baked Vegetables

A mix and match of baked vegetables served with white sauce and a pinch of cinnamon.

Ingredients for White Sauce

  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Plain Flour (maida)
  • A pinch of cinnamon (dalchini) or nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Baby Corn
  • 1 cup Chopped French Beans
  • 1/2 cup Carrots (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Cauliflower (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Potatoes (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Green peas
  • Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Cauliflower (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Potatoes (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Green Peas
  • Grated Cheddar Cheese

Method of preparation of White Sauce

  • Heat some butter in a pan.
  • Add maida and sauté till the color turns brown.
  • When the mixture cools down, add milk and sugar.
  • Boil the mixture till it thickens.
  • After the mixture cools, add salt and cinnamon powder.

Method

  • Half cook the vegetables with sugar and salt.
  • When done, pour the white sauce over the vegetables.
  • Bake these vegetables at 150 degree for 15 minutes in an oven.
  • Garnish with grated cheese, bake the dish till the cheeses melts.
  • Serve hot.
