Baked Mushroom Macroni

Bake your way to one’s heart with this irresistible mushroom macaroni.

Ingredients for Mushroom sauce

  • 1½ cup water
  • ¼ cup mushroom soup powder

Ingredients for Vegetable layer

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter (greasing)
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp chopped olives
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups macaroni (boiled)
  • 1½ cup water
  • 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 cup tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 cup chopped capsicum (red and yellow)
  • ½ cup onions ( chopped)
  • ¼ cup mozzarella cheese (grated)

Method (Vegetable Layer)

  • Heat butter in a pan.
  • Add onions and sauté till they are transparent.
  • Add tomatoes, capsicum and mushrooms and stir fry it for a minute.
  • Add salt, oregano and pepper.

Baking

  • Place the macaronis on a greased baking dish.
  • On top of the macaronis, lay the vegetable layer.
  • Pour the mushroom sauce on top of the vegetable layer.
  • Garnish with grated cheese.
  • Bake in an oven at 200 degree temp for ten minutes.
  • Serve hot.
