Well, we are obviously not a big fan of Aishwarya’s style but her Cannes journey seems to take us to the ultimate heights of wardrobe disasters. Though we are not mean all the time but when it comes to talking about her epic fails at Cannes we’d happily take that privilege and be a lil (or a lot) mean!
We’d spare her for this gold-bag look as this was the first time Aishwarya appeared at the Cannes red carpet for the premier of Devdas. Still, did you notice the gaudy gold bangles and the jumbo earrings?
The hideous green sari (designed by Neeta Lulla!)Worn in an even more hideous style with the gold jewellery and upswept hair steals all the grace from this otherwise beautiful lady! Biggest fashion letdown till date!
This fuchsia outfit was so much unflattering as a member of jury for the french reverie. Aishwarya’s pink overdone makeup and out-of-the-bed messy hair made us wonder what was on her mind!
Looks like this was the year of fashion faux passes for aish. This gown (or whatever it is) looks like she has come from a different age altogether. The gold jewellery continues its nonsensical appeal.
From a Neeta Lulla sari to a Neeta Lulla gown made it all the more worse. The not-so-elegant gown put up a very indecent skin show of aish’s back bulges and sagged skin. Carrying the matching stole with the gown didn’t help!
Ah! Some relief! Aishwarya ditched her not-so-charming (read pathetic) dresses and went for a fresh and flirty floral print gown.
Looks like the lady has read a few books on how to dress for a red carpet event. Aishwarya bagged a lot of admiration for her Gucci plunging neckline gown.
The midnight blue Elie Saab gown was just bearable but we need an explanation for the scary snake inspired neckpiece!
Lovely! The black ruffle dress accentuated the impressive curves and Aishwarya looked all graceful and polished. Hairdo and makeup just perfect!
The silvery white mermaid gown is fine but we totally love the diamond neckpiece. Marriage definitely got some good luck for her on the red carpet.
Umm… all is fine with her sack-like dress, hair and makeup but it’s just boring.
… And she listened to us. We absolutely loved the fuchsia gown on Aishwarya. The plunging neckline and the fresh colour was a good break from the blacks!
And yet again… when we were on the brink of putting her in our good books she appeared wearing this green embellished gown which made her look like foliage!
Aishwarya looked stunning in the white ruffle gown by Roberto Cavalli gown. The poses got better polished too!
Perfect hair! Perfect dress! Perfect poise! Aishwarya scored a perfect 10 on the second day of Cannes film festival.
We adore the Gucci gown aish wore. Make up and accessories minimal. Thumbs up!
The Giorgio Armani Privé black off shoulder gown delighted the fashion people. Aishwarya kept the accessories minimal and her red stained lips went nicely with the gown.
Aish chose a violet mermaid inspired Elie Saab gown which would have still looked okay if she had not opted for the horrible hairdo.
She made her first appearance with the Elie Saab couture gown teamed with a Jimmy Choo clutch. Quite evidently she has put on some pounds.
She surprised her (in a good way) with the classy white and navy gown from Armani Privé Spring 2011. To complete the look she went for a Ferragamo silver metal double facet minaudière.
The Abu Jani outfit did a great job by not highlighting the post-delivery baby fat of Aishwarya and kept things subtle and stylish. For the first time, we loved the traditional look of aish.
The clingy Elie Saab glittery number was uncalled for. We did not expect Aishwarya to turn up into something that’d accentuate her unflattering curves. The lady surprises us all the time! Phew!
