1. Hansika Motwani
How can we forget Hansika’s role as Hrithik’s little friend in the movie, Koi Mil Gaya? She started her career as a child artist with TV serial Shaka Laka Boom Boom. She also acted in various other television serials, like Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand (she received the Favourite Child Award at the Star Parivaar Awards for her role), Sonpari, Hum 2 Hai Na, Karishma Ka Karishma and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
This cute child artist has now grown up into a gorgeous, 21 year old hottie actress. In Bollywood, Hansika made her debut with Aap Ka Surroor (she was the leading actress in this movie). Currently, she has a long list of Tamil films in her kit. Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (Tamil comedy movie) was her first hit movie, which was released on April 13, 2012. She is also working in Denikaina Ready (a Telugu film).
2. Shweta Basu Prasad
Do you remember Chunni and Munni in Vishal Bharadwaj’s film Makdee? Shweta was just 11, when she performed dual roles in this movie. She also acted in the films Iqbal (she received the Best Supporting Actress Award at 5th Karachi International Film Festival for her role as Khadija in this movie), Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi!, Darna Zaroori Hai. As a child artist, she also performed in several TV serials, like Kutumb, Karishma Ka Karishma and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. Now-a-days, she is busy in pursuing her career in Telugu films. The film, Kotha Bangaru Lokam, was her first commercially hit movie.
3. Sana Saeed
The role of Shahrukh’s daughter, Anjali, played by her in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (KKHH) got her a huge fame. Coincidentally, after 14 years, this little bubbly Anjali of KKHH is back in her fully fledged and glamourous avatar in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. As a child artist, Sana also acted in the movie Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega. She also performed for television serial Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na.
4. Ayesha Kapoor
She is best known for her role as young Michelle McNally (role of adult Michelle was performed by Rani Mukherjee) in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black. In 2009 (four years after Black), she was seen in the film Sikandar. Currently, 17 years old,she has chosen her career in accessory designing .
5. Parzan Dastur
Do you remember that charismatic boy saying “JALEBI!!”, in Dhara ad? He also performed the role of pretty Sikh boy in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. His other films as a child actor were Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Zubeidaa, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kehtaa Hai Dil Baar Baar. He played a lead role in Piyush Jha’s Sikandar. Presently, he is learning the basics of direction and production at Karan Johar’s production company.
6. Imraan Khan
As a child artist, he played the role of young Aamir Khan in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. As a grown-up actor, Imraan made his debut with Jaane Tu….Ya Jaane Na, which was a box office hit. After this movie, he made his appearance as a leading actor in I Hate Luv Storys, Break Ke Baad, Delhi Belly, Luck and Ek Main Aur Ek Tu. Now-a-days, he is busy in acting for various films.
7. Aftab Shivadasani
He was only 14 months old, when he was chosen as the Farex baby. Aftab appeared as a child artist in Mr. India, Shahenshah, ChaalBaaz and Insaniyat. He made his debut as an adult actor in Mast. The first film produced under Rising Sun Entertainment (Aftab’s production company) is Aao Wish Karein.
