The former Miss India Neha Kapur, married Kunal Nayyar, who is better known as Raj Koothrappali in the sitcom, The Big Bang Theory. The London born Indian actor, Kunal Nayyar, said that for him, it was love at first sight. The lovebirds got married in 2011. They had a fairy-tale love affair that was followed by a sumptuous wedding.

The ‘Dhak-Dhak girl’ of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit, married Dr. Shriram Madhav Nene, in 1999. He was a practicing cardiovascular surgeon from United States. They had a small wedding in the U.S., but threw a lavish reception afterwards at The Club, Mumbai. When she was asked why did she got married in spite of being on the top, Madhuri coyly replied that she has found true love.

Model turned Bollywood actress, Celina Jaitley, married a Dubai-based hotelier Peter Haag, in 2011. She got married in a thousand year old monastery in Austria. In 2012, she gave birth to twins, and is now settled in Dubai.

Indian tennis player Sania Mirza married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. She said in an interview that it was love at ‘third’ sight, as she met Shoaib few times before, but the meeting lasted only for a couple of minutes. The couple started dating, only after her engagement with her childhood buddy was called off.  This celebrity wedding was controversial, and many people opposed for the marriage because Sania was from India and Shoaib from Pakistan. Despite all the odds, the lovebirds tied the knot in 2010.

Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal (born in Southport England) met in Kolkata in 1956 at the Prithvi Theatre, where Jennifer was a member of a Shakespearean travelling troupe. He fell in love with her at first glance, and therefore, following her footsteps, he joined the troupe to spend some time with her. They got married in 1958 and had three children. Unfortunately, Jennifer died in 1984 because of cancer.
