Every women experience the menstrual cramps. Some suffer from less pain, and some, a bit more. Some girls lie down for all the day, holding the stomach. They roll on bed, cry, and shout in pain. It’s a story of every woman. There are ways for handling this discomfort. Here are some tips; you can use to ease that terrible pain.

1. Fall in love with the heat:


Lie down on the bed or couch (whichever you feel comfortable with), with the heating pad (hot water bag) on your abdomen. Lie straight or try the upside down position. If you have both, cramps and backache, you can put it under your lower back. It will give comfort to the abdomen and the backache. The warmth of the heating pad will soothe your muscles, and will minimize the cramps.

2. Distraction:

When you’ll distract your mind with something else, you will forget the pain. Have chat with your friends, play your favourite games, or use Facebook to divert your concentration from the cramps. Try to having sex. The orgasm works like a natural pain reliever.

3. Vitamins:


Consuming food, which contains vitamin-E (peanuts, dried apricot, pistachios, and mango), Vitamin B6 (rice, fish, oatmeal, bananas, and walnuts), and Vitamin B1 (egg, fish, avocados, green veggies, whole grains, etc.), helps in reducing the menstrual cramps.

4. Lie in the Positions you like:


Turn on your side and keep the knees tucked close to the chest. This will ease the pain temporarily. Turn around and tuck your face in the pillow. You can lie down straight. But, keep your legs elevated, using pillows.

5. Pamper your body:


Go for a massage, it will help a lot in getting rid of menstrual cramps. Do remember to tell your masseur, the reason of being there. The therapist will concentrate on the key body parts, which will give you relief from the menstrual pain.
