It seems like the entire family is full of talent and versatility. No, we’re not going to list all of Konkona’s awards here. But yes, winning a National film award for the best actor female in the year 2003 for ‘Mr and Mrs Iyer’ , the supporting actor female award for the movie ‘Omkara’ , and definitely many of her other awards demonstrate her inherent talent grasped from her mom. Similarly, we also can’t overlook Aparna Sen’s manifold talent as a critically applauded Bengali Indian filmmaker, actor and script writer. Although, this successful lady who won eight international film festival awards and three National Awards, had tied the marital knot thrice.
Aparna Sen was quite young when she got first married with Sanjay Sen, and then divorced. Then Mukul Sharma, a science writer and journalist, came into her life that again didn’t turn out to be good. At present, she has wedded Kalyan Ray, a capable author and lecturer of English at County College of Morris in Randolph, in the United States. Well all this wouldn’t have been possible surely, if his mother wasn’t there to assist and show him the right path, just after he dropped out his college. In an interview he mentioned that how his mother became a stimulus after he dropped his college and was sitting at home. She scared him to leave the house and thus made him realize his responsibilities and made him join the work as assistant cinematographer to Manmohan Singh, for the film Lamhe.
Honey Irani has also been associated with Bollywood since her childhood as a child artist, in the movies like ‘Bombay Ka Chor Chirag’ and ‘Kahaan Roshni Kahaan’.
