You work out regularly and munch healthy food. It’s good!…Being healthy does not mean that you can never become prone to any disease in the future. To keep yourself always Hale and Hearty, never make the following mistakes.
1. Getting Unnecessary Medical Tests
If you are fit and undergoing unnecessary medical tests without the recommendation of your doctor, then be careful! It may harm your health. Tests, like X-ray and CT scan, emits harmful radiations and are not meant for everyone. These tests are meant for at-risk people.
2. Exercising and only Exercising to Reduce Extra Flab
Regular workout is the key for healthy living. If you think that only exercise would help you to shed those extra pounds, you are wrong! Do not push yourself too much. Along with workout, you also need to keep a check on your calorie intake.
3. Fear of Germs
Clean your hands with soap and water helps you from exposure to germs. It is good to know information that all bacterias are not harmful. Some bacterias (like E. coli) are useful for preventing the diseases and help you to stay healthy. They help in the production of enzymes, vitamins, proteins and antibiotics. Thus, ‘fear of germs’ is not good for health.
4. Don’t Socialize Enough
Do you have healthy friends? Do you meet with them, once in a week or month? If not, you should! Connecting with people and maintaining regular contacts with them is beneficial for health. It helps you in relieving your anxieties, and refreshing your mood. Make a gathering of friends, who share similar taste with you. This way, you can also carry out these activities with them.
5. Holding up Medical Care

In general, healthy people don’t pay attention to little pains and injuries. They do not consult the doctor. Instant treatment helps in averting grave health problems. Don’t be careless! Go and get it treated soon.
6. Not Relying on Alternative Remedies
Nowadays, a lot of medical alternatives, like homeopathy, ayurveda, acupuncture, allopathic are available. If you remain stick to one medicinal pattern and overlook the other ones, you might miss out the best cure. Have an open mind and consult the physician to know which medicinal alternative would better work for you.
7. Skipping Vaccines
It is good that you wake up at 5 a.m. , and thump the gym. If you are not completing 7 hours of sleep, then it is detrimental to your health. If you take enough sleep, you may get prone to reduced resistance to vaccines, diabetes, depression and high blood pressure.
8. Don’t Have Healthy Friends

Good friends inculcate healthy habits in you. Bad friends instill unhealthy habits, like smoking, boozing. Thus, try to make friendship with those having healthy and good habits.
9. Don’t Read Nutritional Labels
Are the food products you are going to purchase really good? Check it! Pay heed to its nutritional label. It will reveal you the whole story of food such as sodium, fat, calories, and sugar content.
10. Always Buying Organic
Buying organic food is a smart decision. If you perceive that all organic food is always healthier, you are absolutely wrong! Organic sugary cereals and granola bars are rich in fat and calories. They are equally harmful as non-organic versions.
