Upset by acne? Avoid going in parties? Pimples can wreck your stunning look. Oily skin, pollution, exposure to UV rays, etc. are the reasons that lead to acne. But, now you no more need to conceal your face. Here are some home-made facial masks for your acne-prone skin. These masks will help you not only in averting boils, but will also bring a spark on your face. You can prepare these masks within a few minutes with the help of ingredients available in your kitchen.
1. Apple and Honey Mask
Grate an apple and mix 3-4 tablespoons of honey in it. Clean your skin by rinsing with water and apply this paste. Leave it for 10 minutes. Then, wash with water. You will definitely feel a soothing effect.
2. Oatmeal Mask
Oatmeal brings a magical charm to your skin. It contains several anti-oxidants and prevents acne. Mix 2 teaspoons of oatmeal and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. To it, add water to prepare a paste. Apply this paste on your face and rub it gently. After 15 minutes, rinse off with water.
3. Grape Cleanser
Take 2 or 3 fresh grapes from your fridge and cut them in half. Rub it on your face. After 10 minutes, wipe it out with cold water. It helps in deep cleansing of pores and also improves your complexion.
4. Honey and Yogurt Mask
Both the substances have several natural anti-oxidants that supress pimple. Prepare a paste by mixing 1 tablespoon of yogurt with 1 teaspoon of honey. Apply it to your skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Then, remove it with tepid water or wet cloth. This mask is apposite for all types of skin.
5. Egg- Lemon Mask
Beat the yolk of an egg. Take a lemon and cut it into 2 halves. Squeeze ½ the lemon in the egg white. Mix it well. Apply it before going to bed and leave it for the whole night. In the morning, wash with warm water.
Note- Keep this mask away from your eyes and mouth.
6. Cucumber Face Mask
Grate 1 cucumber and strain the water. Add one tablespoon of sugar to the mashed cucumber. Apply it to your face. After 10 minutes, rinse off with cold water. This mask soothes your skin and makes it smooth.
7. Turmeric Facial Mask
Mix two teaspoons each of sandalwood powder, turmeric powder and almond oil or ghee and half cup of chickpea flour. To this mixture, add water to prepare a paste. Apply it to your face and leave for 5-10 minutes. Remove the paste with the help of your fingers, and then wash with water. It will revivify your skin and help prevent pimples.
8. Yogurt and Yeast Mask
Oily skin easily gets prone to pimples. This mask helps you to remove excess of oil from your skin. To prepare the mask, mix plain yogurt with one teaspoon of brewer’s yeast. Apply the mixture on your skin. After 20 minutes, first wash with warm water ant then with cold water.
9. Banana Mask
Mash one banana. Add one teaspoon of lemon juice in it. To this mixture, add one egg yolk. Apply it on your face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off with water. Use it 2 times a week. This mask will lighten your skin.
10. Aloe Mask
Squeeze the juice of aloe leaves. Add a pinch of salt in it. If your skin is oily, you can also add few drops of lemon juice to it. Apply it twice a day. Let it dry and wash with water.
