1. Vinegar and Lemon Juice
Take a small quantity of white vinegar in a bowl. Mix equal quantity of lemon juice in it. Stir well. Soak your fingernails in warm water, for 10-15 minutes. Dunk a cotton swab in this mixture. Put it on the nail and press gently. Hold it for at least 10-20 minutes. It will break down the nail polish.
Note- You can also use orange juice, instead of lemon juice.
2. Spray Deodorant
Spray deodorants can wonderfully remove anything from markers to nail polish. Spray deodorant on nails. With the help of a napkin or dry cloth, rub your nails, till the polish gets completely removed.
Apply some toothpaste on a cotton ball. Rub it on your nails, till the polish is removed completely. Alternatively, directly apply a small quantity of toothpaste on your nails. Then, wipe out with the cotton ball. This home remedy is a little bit messy and takes a long time to remove nail polish.
4. Hand Sanitizer
Take a clean dry cloth. Put a few drops of hand sanitizer on it. Wipe your nails with it, until the polish is removed. Repeat the process, if needed.
Alcohol is a natural nail polish remover. It’s also very effective cure for several fingernail problems. Take some drops of alcohol on a cotton ball. Rub on the nails to remove polish.
6. Correction Fluid Thinner
Pour some correction fluid thinner on a sponge. Put your finger in the sponge and wriggle it around. It’s the best home remedy to remove the nail polish.
Hairspray has constituents that are used to prepare commercial nail polish remover. Pour a few drops of hairspray, on a cotton ball. Rub on your nails. It will remove the polish within a few seconds.
8. Wet Nail Polish
For removing old nail polish, apply a fresh layer of nail polish. Soak your nails in warm water, for at least 10 minutes. Then, apply a fresh coat of nail polish. Immediately wipe off both layers, using a cotton ball. Repeat the process again, if residue remains on your cuticles.
Perfume comprises of ethyl acetate that is a good nail polish remover. Spray a small amount of perfume on a cotton ball. Rub it on your nail to remove the nail polish.
10. Paint Thinner
Apply a small quantity of paint thinner on your nails. Wipe off with a clean cloth or cotton ball. Once you are done, rinse your hands properly.
