Review: Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Shea Butter

The need for quenching the thirst of dry skin becomes quite intense during winters, as in the cold weather, the skin loses all its moisture and becomes very dry, flaky, and itchy. In such dry weather, you need some hydrating drink for your skin. Face wash is the primary and the basic thing in the skin care regime, and you should always choose it wisely to get the maximum benefits. Choosing the wrong or inappropriate face wash will end up causing more harm to your skin than good.

Here, I have presented the review of a cleanser that is ultra soothing and provides optimum moisture to your dehydrated and dry skin, and it is from one of the finest brands in skincare- Clarins. Read on to know more about this foaming cleanser.

What does the brand claim about the product?

Review-Image-1

It takes care of the needs of dry and sensitive skin.  It is formulated to soothe and cleanse easily irritated skin.

Providing just the right amount of moisturization, this cleanser rinses easily and protects the skin from the drying effects of hard water. It leaves the skin fresh, supple, and comfortable.

Key Ingredients

  • Gypsophila Extract- creates light foam all over the face.
  • Polymnia- it preserves the moisture of the skin.
  • Cottonseed- it softens the texture of the skin.

  • Pro Vitamin B-5- it soothes the irritated skin.

My Verdict on the Product

Review-Image-2

It is one of the gentlest cleansers I have ever used till the date. It soothes the irritated parts of my face effectively. It removes the existing grime on my face at one go, without drying out it. In fact, it provides the extra levels of moisture to my face as it contains ingredients, like Shea butter and Polymnia. As the brand suggests, I wash it off with cold water in the morning to give a boost to my face, and with lukewarm water in the evening. It surely stands up to its claim of moisturizing the skin whilst cleansing it effectively from within.

By far, I have not noticed any of the cons in the product as it does not cause any reactions, rather soothes any present itching or rashes on the skin. This product is a big ‘Thumbs Up’ product.

Score Card

Quality: 5/5

Performance: 5/5

Cost Effective: 4.5/5 (as it is a little expensive than the rest of the face washes)

Aroma: 4.7/5

Overall Score: 4.8/5 (Very Good Product!!)
